Miss Dee's Evoden Bar & Kitchen

Food was outstanding, some of the best Caribbean we’ve tasted in a long while. Oxtail was falling off the bone, with the expected richness you get from well cooked oxtail and the seasoning was perfect. My son had the Jerk chicken burger again was amazing and bursting with flavour his side of mac and cheese was also some of the best we have tasted and his skin on fries seasoned really well. My wife had the jerk chicken, rice & peas and steamed veg. Rice and peas were delightful, the jerk chicken full of flavour and the steamed veg was very good. A lot of places use frozen veg I’d be highly surprised if this was the case here. If your seeking great tasting Caribbean food in a modern vibrant establishment I’d highly recommend this place.

Phenomenal food, great service, excellent location. It's tricky sometimes, as a meat-eater in a relationship with a vegan, to find nice restaurants which work for both of us. I do enjoy plenty of vegan food, and they're usually happy with a Beyond burger, but we rarely get to experience new food, and have that food be excellent, and to both out tastes, together. If you've ever had this issue, are a fan of excellent vegan none-oxtail (made with jackfruit), or enjoy meat oxtail so divinely cooked it peels off the bone by the fork, check out Evoden. Our service was excellent. The Menu was explained to us, vegan options double checked, and we were set at ease quickly. We sat in the covered outside area, I had a wonderful view down toward Beech Road Park and the sunset illuminated trees. Drinks were good, order taken quickly, more friendly rapport with out server. After an appropriate time the food came and all conversation ceased as we ate some of the most delicious food of our relationship. I had oxtail with peas and rice and corn on the cob and absolutely loved it. My partner loved their none-oxtail with chips and vegan mac n cheese (very noochy!) Oh and did I mention how incredibly reasonable the price was? Drinks and excellent meals for two for 35 in this economy is an absolute marvel. Couldn't recommend Evoden more highly, excellent vegan options, delicious meat dishes, incredible value for money, great location, wonderful service. If your next meal out isn't here, you're missing out!

Came to visit family and friends in Manchester and this Caribbean restaurant was highly recommended. Had no problem with parking. As we were walking in, a person from the street said "It's a great place with great food". As we walked in it was warm and a great welcome in a great place. Chef provided additional items that were not on the menu - fried plantain and fried dumplings as side dishes so do ask. Great choices. Both were delicious as were our main meals. Homemade drinks of ginger beer and sorrel were so lovely that we had more as takeaway. For dessert I had the rum cake and my partner had the apple crumble and custard. To be honest, we had no room for dessert as main meal was a great portion but couldn't let desserts go by. My partner noticed a drink called "Bumba" and had a taster which he thoroughly enjoyed. Excellent value and to be honest the prices were not aconcern for delicious food. Well worth a visit and very highly recommend and will certainly visit again.

Omg! The food was absolutely delicious! There were so many flavours, my taste buds were dancing Had chocolate cake for dessert. Yummy Vegan cakes available too! It felt like a home from home. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Thank you you guyz for a wonderful 1st experience. I will be back...

Are you looking some nice Carribean home cooking flavours, if you are, Miss Dee's can help. We tried 2 mains, the Curry Goat and the Oxtail, both with rice & peas and steamed veg. The flavours of both meals were deep and full and the meat was fall off the bone soft. As good as I have had anywhere. The place is spacious and open with both indoor and outdoor seating. Dining is casual and there is a nice 90s soul musical background. There is quite a step to get in so if you are less able you may prefer to sit in the sheltered outdoor area. We will return

This was my first visit, but definitely won't be my last. The food was so tasty, and the presentation/ service was excellent. Lovely atmosphere and music in the background. Hopefully try and sut outside on a sunny day. 100% worth a visit. 5*****

The food here is incredible and such good value! I had the jerk chicken burger, the chicken was so tasty and delicious. My boyfriend had the ox tail which was equally as good. There’s so many dishes are the menu that I wanted to try. Also the rum punch is a must! The owner is also really lovely, it’s clear that she is really passionate about her food. I can highly recommend this place, and hope lots of people go try it out. Authentic food and supporting local.
